Ian Russell heads off on a ferry, to a lake-exclusive booking with fish to over 50lb… but it’s not in France! Combley Main Lake on the Isle of Wight is the beautiful setting as Ian takes full advantage of the latest advances in bait boat tech to bag a string of big carp from this intimate water. After a tricky first night, which saw temperatures plummet, Ian was quickly on the move to capitalise on fish that gave their presence away in the dead of night, and it didn’t take him long to sort out a bite or two on his hi-viz sweetcorn tactics.
